Blue - Foundation

Welcome to Blue Class

Our topic is 'Up and Under'

The whole school enjoyed our multicultural day all about China. We took part in some traditional Chinese dancing and we made willow patterns. We also tried some Chinese food, we were taught how to speak some Chinese and we learnt about the Chinese New Year.

Key stage 1 had a great day at Manor farm.

This week we have been learning all about pirates. At the beginning of the week a pirate called ‘Captain Redbeard’ sent us a letter and a treasure map. He had stolen Fraser Bear and we had to follow the treasure map in order to find him. Luckily we found him safe and sound. We were then inspired to make our very own treasure maps.

This week we have written pirate stories, made pirate ships and pirate necklaces.

On Friday we all dressed up as pirates. We drank pirate grog and ate worm jelly.

We tested to see whether our pirate ships would float or sink.

We ended the week with a well deserved pirate party.
