Today in Gold Class, we have been doing a hot write diary. A hot write is a lesson and it is basically when you lean about something then you write about what you’ve learnt.
Gold Class Blog 8/2/16
This week in GYM we did gymnastics on the ropes, climbing frames and benches. In class in literacy, we did a rough copy and a cold write of a diary. Do you know what a cold write is? If you don't know, it's when you write what you already know about something without learning anything about that subject!

Cookery Club Blog
In cookery you can make all sorts of stuff like apple crumble. My favorite cake is Christmas cake because you make the cake on Monday and then the following Monday you decorate the Christmas cake with cutters and you also get to use marzipan and icing. I did a snowman and I did little snowmans on the bottom of the cake and I put ginger sparkly snow on the top of the cake. Also you do the cookery club with Mrs Berry and Mrs Taylor.

In Gold Class we have been learning about the ENCHANTED WOOD. We had to make are own land at the top of the faraway tree for example I chose the land of birthdays . Also, my teacher Mrs Schofield chose roundabout land and we have been learning it from actions and from a story map. It was great fun and were still learning it but it is quite a long story and also when you finish the story you want to keep reading it because it is so good and we are doing a cold write.

In Mere School everyone can do a really fun club like art and poetry tennis and loads more. My favourite club is recorders with Mrs Williamson. It is great fun because you learn so much you go step by step and she doesn't miss anybody out. She's such a good recorder teacher.

This week in Gold Class we have been learning about how to make revolting recipes. So, last week we were planning how to make a revolting recipe (like 300g of crushed brains, 4 rat's eyeballs and 2 bats ears) to feed three hungry.... WITCHES!!!!
Also this week we are going to make a recipe with Mrs Howell… a Tudor rose!!!
This week in Gold Class, we are making maid of honour cakes for our Tudor project!
Soon, we are going to Montacute House, which is a real Tudor house built over 500 years ago!
Gold Class Blog October 20th 2015
In Gold Class, we've went on a school trip to Montacute House. It was built by the Tudors 500 years ago. We were split into groups. I was with Joan and we made lavender bags and they smelt so good!!!! One other group was writing with ink quill pens. When you walked down the servant’s stairs, it was so wonky you could fall down them! I'm sure that when you are in Gold Class you will have the same fun!!!!
Montacute House was great! We saw the portraits. They were amazing! I dressed up as Henry VIII! I looked so funny!
