We hope that our school will be able to remain open during this global pandemic. However, there might be times when your child is absent. If your child is ill and it is not COVID related then we would not expect them to be well enough to be doing work from home. There might be, however, occasions when your child is away from school but be well enough to learn.
We’re waiting for the results of a COVID-19 test
If your family is awaiting results for a test your child may be away for two or three days. During this time, we expect them to read daily and practise number bonds or times tables facts. For the main lessons each day, go to the Oak Academy website (link below) click on schedule and select the year group for your child; start on Monday’s lessons for the current week.

We are self isolating
If your child is self-isolating they could be off for 10 days. If your child is well enough, then it is vital that they keep up with their school work and also really important that they engage in this on a daily basis.

The whole of your child’s class is self-isolating/ in lockdown
The class teacher will be setting work daily using a learning platform. Information regarding how to use this will be provided to parents at the time.
We are in local or national lockdown
If the school is closed due to lockdown, then the school will move to using their learning platform. Information regarding how to use this will be provided to parents at the time.
