Welcome to Blue Class
Our topic is 'Up and Under’
This week we have started thinking about our new topic ‘ People who help us’. We have been talking about people who help us at home. We decided to write a letter thanking someone at home for all that they do for us. We then went to the post office, bought a stamp and posted our letter. Hopefully your letters home will be arriving soon. We also linked this to the role of a postal worker, we talked about how they help us by delivering our mail.
This week we have been learning about the Hindu celebration Diwali. The children have loved making Rangoli patterns, Mehndi patterns, diva pots and Diwali cards.
This week we have been learning about weddings. Blue Class were lucky enough to visit St Michaels church and act out a wedding.
This week we celebrated Fraser Bears Birthday. We made and decorated birthday cakes, we made birthday cards, and we made hats and decorations. We finished the week with a birthday party.
Anti-Bullying Week
As part of Anti-Bullying week we learnt about kindness. We talked about how we can show kindness towards our friends. The children all decorated odd socks to symbolise that we are all different and that we should embrace our differences.
Unfortunately not the ones with chocolate chips.
