School Meals

We are very proud of our school meals at Mere School. Mrs Gulliver and her team prepare delicious, home-cooked meals on the premises in our 5* Wiltshire Council rated kitchen. Our meals are famous in the locality and we supply meals to other schools locally.

KS1 meals are free of charge. KS2 meals cost £2.50 per day - great value! Click below to view menus. Jacket potatoes with cheese or beans are also available as an alternative every day but must be ordered and paid in advance.  Payment can be made by cash, cheque or via BACS (please speak to the office for bank details).

Our staff encourage the best table manners at all times and we view having a school lunch as a 'social' experience. The children sit together at a table and take it in turns to serve the food to each other. Mrs Gulliver chats with the children and tries to incorporate their ideas into the menu.

Tuck Trolley

KS2 children are able to buy food and drink from our tuck trolley on a Friday for 60p an item.  This is voluntary and parents can send their child to school with an alternative healthy snack instead.  The items on the trolley are bacon, sausage or cheese rolls, homemade pizza, rice cakes with cheese and grapes or fruity flapjack. FREE fruit is always available. To drink, there is  Suso Tropical drinks (60% fruit juice) or Just Juice (100% fruit juice).  The snacks are freshly prepared on a daily basis.
